Day 1 - Friday 5th - Outward Journey


A private coach will meet you at your school to transfer you to the airport. (optional service)

Relax and enjoy our scheduled flight from London Heathrow to Delhi.

Day 2 - Saturday 6th - Qutab Minar

Morning, arrive Delhi. Meeting-and-assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.

New Delhi, India’s capital city, with a thousand years of history, is a city of contrasts that combines a unique ambience of the ancient and the modern. An orderly plan of wide roads lined with sturdy colonial buildings, it was established soon after the Imperial capital of British India moved here from Calcutta in 1911.

Afternoon, visit Qutab Minar a soaring, 73 m-high tower of victory, built in 1193 by Qutab-uddin Aibak immediately after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom. The tower has five distinct storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony and tapers from a 15 m diameter at the base to just 2.5 m at the top. The first three storeys are made of red sandstone; the fourth and fifth storeys are of marble and sandstone. At the foot of the tower is the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India. . A 7 m-high iron pillar stands in the courtyard of the mosque.

From Qutub Minar, pay a visit at the Chattarpur Mandir (Temple to the Hindu Goddess) on your way back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Sunday 7th - Bangla Sahib

Morning, sightseeing of Old Delhi. Drive past Chandni Chowk- the crowded bazaar (silver street) of Old Delhi, Red Fort- built in 1648, this sprawling fort of red sand stone along the river Yamuna, is surrounded by a wall of about 2.4 km circumference. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Visit the Jama Masjid, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, it is the largest and one of the most magnificent mosques in India. You will also have a unique experience of riding a cycle-rickshaw through the narrow alleyways of Old Delhi.

From Old Delhi, drive back to New Delhi. Start by paying a visit at Bangla Sahib (Sikh temple) where you could try your hand at rolling a few chapattis at the community kitchen! Drive past Parliament House, India Gate, and the President’s House.

You will also have the opportunity of visiting the Gandhi Smriti at Birla (closed on Mondays), the place where he was assassinated and is now a very charming museum.

Day 4 - Monday 8th - Agra

Morning, drive to Agra. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5 - Tuesday 9th - Taj Mahal

Morning at leisure. Later, check out and proceed for sightseeing.

Visit Taj Mahal one of the seven wonderers of the World. Built by Shaha Jahan (Mughal Emperor) for his beloved wife Mumtaz. Thereafter proceed to Agra Fort, built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. the fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings.

After dinner at a local restaurant, transfer to the railway station to board train for Varanasi.

2030 hrs: Depart by Marudhar Express.

Day 6 - Wednesday 10th - Sarnath 


1030 hrs: Arrive Varanasi and transfer to your hotel.

Morning relax and settle down.

Afternoon, take a short excursion to Sarnath where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon, after attaining Nirvana. The only institute of its kind in the world, imparting education in the Tibetan language, it was established by the Dalai Lama in 1971. Presently located at Sarnath, the institute has a rare collection of Buddhist texts, Tibetan manuscripts and other journals.

In the evening, go down to the banks of the river Ganges on cycle- rickshaws to view the performance of "Aarti" (prayers) being offered to the holy river. The sight and sound of the bells, chanting of prayers and the light of numerous floating lamps is fascinating!!

Day 7 - Thursday 11th - River Ganges

Early morning, transfer to the Ghats for boat ride on the river Ganges to see the sunrise and witness the local people worshipping and bathing at the Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast.

After the boat-ride, walk through the narrow lanes of the city.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to board flight AI 433 for Delhi.

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the hotel.

Day 8 - Friday 12th - Return Journey


After breakfast, our rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end as we journey home on our final day. We will transfer to the airport by private coach to board our flight home.

Relax and enjoy our scheduled flight from Delhi to London Heathrow.

A private coach will meet you at the airport on your arrival to transfer you back to your school. (optional service)
